 MISSION STATEMENT

and

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

The Gunston Hall Scholarship Fund, a section 501(c)(3) charity, seeks to assist worthy students who require special educational help in order to excel in their academic experiences. The Fund is particularly interested in assisting those students who have special learning and/or social disabilities, and who cannot receive the advantages of a healthy academic curriculum except through a private school education. These individuals will normally come from families who cannot afford private school due to economic struggles.

The following guidelines are used to evaluate each applicant for scholarships offered by the Fund:

  • The educational background of the applicant including his/her history of academic achievement, testing ability, and any special medical needs;
  • The financial background of the applicantís family;
  • The proven or potential ability of the student to progress in a private school environment.
  • The need for the student to be in a private school environment.

Applications for scholarship assistance are due by April 30th of each year, and decisions are made by August 15th of the same year. The Fund accepts applications for all students regardless of race, religion or national origin.
